Hattiesburg Officers Celebrate National Day of Prayer At Mayor’s Breakfast
Thursday, on the National Day of Prayer, Hattiesburg officers gathered at the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast to share in a moment of unity and reflection with local residents.
The breakfast brought together many to share meals, prayers, and words of encouragement.

The Hattiesburg Police Department said their officers ate the majority of the donuts, but the event was a neat day to acknowledge the day’s significance.
National Day of Prayer is a time for individuals of all faiths to come together in prayer, contemplation, and solidarity.
The police department said,
“In all seriousness, we want to highlight the importance of this day – a day of prayer, reflection and unity. We hope you will join us in recognizing today’s day of prayer as we strive to garner hope, strength and enlightenment within our community.”
