Jamie Faye Roberts: 1948-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Jamie Faye Roberts, Maiden – Reaves, passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 76 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Born on September 20, 1948, Jamie graduated from Noxapater High School and went on to complete Hair and Beauty school at Fondren. Alongside her husband, Al Roberts, she co-founded and operated an accounting business for over 50 years, demonstrating her professional acumen and dedication.

A staunch and outspoken conservative, Jamie was deeply rooted in her Christian faith, attending Flag Chapel Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a pillar of strength and support, always ready to offer a listening ear and assistance to anyone in need. Jamie’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family, serving as a loving and faithful wife for 55 years and as a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and aunt.

Her hobbies included sun tanning, going to the beach, fishing, bowling, shopping, and spinning slot machines. She also loved Elvis Presley. Jamie cherished the Christmas season, taking great joy in decorating her home and preparing for family gatherings. She was passionate about cooking and cherished moments spent around the dinner table with her loved ones, while also letting known her faith in Jesus Christ.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Al Roberts; children, Chris Berry/Becky Berry, Angie Lynn/Danny Lynn, Stefani Roberts, and Sabin Reaves; grandchildren, Blake Roberts/Kristen Roberts, Cody Zimmerman/Hayley Zimmerman, Josh Berry, Megan Berry, and Madison Loar; great-grandchildren, Tyler Roberts, Allie Roberts, Kayleigh Reaves, and Myers Zimmerman; and several nieces and nephews, Pam Vertucci (Joey), Amanda Copeland, Nicole Vertucci, Debbie Williams, Summerlyn Luthultz, Knoxley Ward, Chuck Reaves, and others she considered family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Chambliss Reaves and Ollie Mae Reaves; her sister, Peggy Copeland; her brother-in-law, Sam Copeland; her brother, Charles Reaves; her sister-in-law, Ruth Reaves; and her nephew, Sammy Copeland.

A service to celebrate Jamie’s life will be held at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue, Vicksburg, MS, on a date to be announced, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Jamie Roberts. Her legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
