Jefferson County pulled off a close win against Franklin County on Friday

The Jefferson County High School boys’ basketball team secured a thrilling victory, narrowly defeating Franklin County with a score of 52-51 on Friday.
Stanley Starks emerged as the top scorer for the Tigers, recording an impressive 16 points, closely followed by Javian Nichols who
contributed 11 points. Additionally, Luke Bolin made a notable contribution with 10 points, further reinforcing the team’s success. With
this win, JCHS proudly secured the coveted No. 2 seed in the upcoming district tournament.
The tournament is set to take place at Port Gibson High School next week.
