A Vicksburg man’s bond reduction was denied on Tuesday in the Warren County Circuit Court. Malcolm Ward stood before Judge James Chaney where the request for his bond deduction was denied and the judge ordered that he remain in the Warren County Jail on his original $900,000 bail.

Assistant District Attorney Liem Walker represented the state at the hearing and she mentioned that Ward has multiple charges of Sexual Battery of a Child Under the Age of 14. Both charges have separate victims, according to Walker.

Ward is scheduled to go to trial in September where he faces a maximum of multiple life sentences if convicted. He was first arrested back in December 2023.
