Katelyn Morson, a Vicksburg native and former Warren Central standout, has been named the head soccer coach at Neville High School in Monroe, Louisiana.

Neville High School announced Morson’s hiring in May.

“We’re proud to celebrate Coach Morson on being named Head Soccer Coach,” the school said in a social media post. “Coach Morson’s leadership and impact reach far beyond one sport, and we’re thankful she continues to pour into our volleyball program. Neville is lucky to have you.”

Morson is a 2018 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she excelled in soccer, softball and volleyball. She continued her soccer career at East Central Community College.

Following her college graduation, Morson returned to Warren Central as an assistant soccer coach.

The Neville position marks Morson’s first head coaching job in soccer.
