Lorelei Books to host two authors May 17

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Lorelei Books will host a dual author meet-and-greet and book signing Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring Miss Vicksburg Morgan Nelson and author Healhouz.
Nelson, a pre-med student at Mississippi State University and current Miss Vicksburg, recently published Don’t Sugarcoat It, Y’all, a guide that encourages healthier eating without sacrificing the flavors of Southern comfort food.
“Educating my community has always been a passion of mine, especially when it comes to the impact of unhealthy eating on our state,” Nelson said in a statement. “My goal is to show you that prioritizing your health does not mean giving up the foods you love—it’s about finding healthier ways to enjoy them.”
The second featured author, writing under the pen name Healhouz, will present Unlock the Power of Your Shadow: A Feminine Shadow Work Guide Book, which focuses on personal healing and self-discovery through shadow work practices.
The event is free and open to the public. Lorelei Books is located at 1103 Washington St. in downtown Vicksburg.
