McGloster hits her first home run; Missy Gators fell short on Thursday

Vicksburg High School softball team took a loss to Pearl in an interesting slugfest on Thursday. Although the Missy Gators didn’t take home the win, many highlights occurred including Trinity McGloster hitting her first home run over the fence.

By the third inning, the Missy Gators were down by a few runs when McGloster hit her grand slam to put VHS ahead. The Lady Pirates eventually took back the lead but VHS still managed to grab big hits, including a triple by seventh grader Madisyn Kimble.

Lili Kistler and McGloster both hit doubles in the loss. Kistler went 2 for 4 and McGloster went 3 for 5 with five RBIs. Raylyn Parson smashed two hits while Zion Harvey, Harmony Harris, and Kimble each had one hit.

VHS will host Loyd Star on March 18.

Warren Central:

The Lady Vikes took an 8-4 loss to Clinton where Maddy Pant(3 RBIs), Jenn Smith(1RBI), Adalyn Anderson, and Sarah Cameron Fancher all had one hit. Pant struck out nine batters.
