Milwaukee man convicted of killing and dismembering Vicksburg native Sade Robinson

Milwaukee, WI. (VDN) — A jury has convicted a Milwaukee man for April 1, 2024, killing of 19-year-old Vicksburg native Sade Robinson. 34-year-old Maxwell Anderson was convicted on all counts of intentional homicide or first-degree reckless homicide, mutilating a corpse, arson and hiding a corpse.

Assistant District Attorneys Ian Vance-Curzan and Megan Newport prosecuted the case. Anderson never testified at his trial.

On April 1, 2024, Robinson and Anderson went for drinks at a bar. After that date, Vance-Curzan argued that Robinson and Anderson went back to his place which is where he killed and dismembered her. Anderson then drove around Milwaukee where he disposed of her body in multiple places along with setter her car on fire.

“What kind of person cuts off someone’s head off? A killer, a killer who’s trying get away with killing,” Vance-Curzan said in court. “There is no question about the person responsible for doing it. The killer, it’s him.”

Anderson was captured on video multiple times around the city, including the Route 35 bus which was five blocks from Robinson’s burning car. Month’s after Robinson’s death, her body parts were still being searched for by the public. Her severed leg, foot, torso, and arm were all discovered. According to the autopsy, it was never determined how Robinson was killed be her head and neck was never recovered.

Anderson will be sentenced on August 15th where he faces a mandatory life sentence.
