Mississippi River Bridge lane closures continue – anticipate slow downs

Lane closures continue for the I-20 Mississippi River Bridge at Vicksburg.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, weather permitting, eastbound outside lane closures will continue, as needed, through Monday, March 18, to perform inspections.

However, all lanes will be open Friday, March 15, 2024.

Beginning Tuesday, March 19, 2024, outside lane closures will be needed in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Additionally, lane widths will be restricted to 12′ during the following times:

Tuesday, March 19, 2024: Eastbound and Westbound 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Wednesday, March 20, 2024: Eastbound and Westbound 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Thursday, March 21, 2024: Eastbound and Westbound 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday, March 23, 2024: Eastbound and Westbound 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday, March 24, 2024: Eastbound and Westbound 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Maximum vehicle width restrictions:
12-foot maximum width (during times noted above)
