Mosby steps down as Head Football Coach at St. Aloysius

VICKSBURG, Miss. (St. Aloysius) — Vicksburg Catholic School announces today that Head Football Coach Walker Mosby has officially submitted his resignation, effective July 31, 2025, to be closer with his family in East Mississippi.
Coach Mosby has served as head coach of the Flashes since January 2024, leading the program to its first win in two years and first district playoff win in over five years. His dedication to the team, the school, and the broader community has left a lasting impact on players, staff, and fans alike.
“The decision did not come easily but after much reflection, I’ve come to recognize the increasing importance of being closer to family,” said Coach Mosby. “It has been a privilege to lead our student-athletes, and I take great pride in the accomplishments we’ve shared—including winning football games and a well-earned playoff appearance.”
Dawn Meeks, Principal of St Aloysius shared: “Coach Mosby came to our program at a very pivotal time. He was the difference we needed, when we needed it the most. Now, with our football program thriving, we are grateful for all he has contributed to St Aloysius. While we are saddened to see him go, we fully support his decision and wish him nothing but the best as he begins this next chapter in his life.”
The search for a new head coach will begin immediately, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.
