One arrested in Vicksburg after shooting at a building

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, at about 6:42 p.m., Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to the area of 1100 First North Street in reference to a shots fired call.

Surveillance footage within the area captured a black male firing multiple shots toward the structure of 1100 First North Street. Multiple spent shell casings were recovered from the scene.

41-year-old Frederick Hill, also known as (Whip) was subsequently arrested and charged with discharging a firearm and weapon possession by a convicted felon. Hill’s bond was set at $50,000, and he will be bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury. Hill also had a hold placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
