One Stabbed to Death on Clark Street

A woman has been stabbed to death after an altercation at a home on Clark Street.
The Vicksburg Police Department issued a press release stating:
“At 4:11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Clark Street for a reported stabbing. A female victim was found deceased inside the house, and a male subject has been detained for questioning.
This investigation is in its early stages, and more information will be made available when possible.”
UPDATE – 7:30 a.m. – Neighbors report the house has been very active since the owner, Irene Harris, died in December 2023. A relative moved into the home and recently began renting out sleeping room by the night, according to two neighbors. At 4 a.m. those spending the night would be made to leave.
One of the people seen going into the property was a white female around 50-years-old. A person close to the event believes that is the deceased.
