PCA crushed Clinton Christian 13-5 on Tuesday

Porter’s Chapel Academy went on the road and defeated Clinton Christian 13-5 on Tuesday.

After trailing 3-0 early in the game, the Lady Eagles turned things around in the third after singles from Marley Bufkin and Brooklyn Nicholson along with a double from Sophie Masterson that tied the game at 3-3. PCA eventually went up 4-3 after an RBI from Kinsley Luke.

The Lady Eagles added four more runs in the fourth after Natalie Cantin and Nicholson hit RBIs while Masterson and Luke singled as they led 8-3.

After a triple by Mia Abdo, Bufkin, Lauren Rae Davis, Nicholson, and Luke all hit RBIs to put the score at 12-3. CCA picked up two runs in the fifth where the score sat at 12-5.

Bufkin extended PCA’s lead to 13-5 late in the game to end things with a victory.

Abdo went 3 for 4 at the plate while Masterson and Bufkin both had two hits and three RBIs. Davis(1 RBI)finished with two hits while Cantin, Luke(1 RBI), Nicholson(3 RBI), and Audrey Carraway each had one hit. Masterson only allowed one hit and struck out six batters.

PCA will host the Cathedral on Thursday.
