PCA softball team crushed Hillcrest 13-1 on Monday

Porter’s Chapel Academy softball team pulled off a big 13-1 road win on Monday against Hillcrest Academy. The Lady Eagles finished with a total of eight hits in the win.

The Lady Eagles earned five runs in the first inning, beginning with a hit from Lauren Rae Davis. Audrey Carraway nailed a triple while Kinsley also hit an RBI. PCA added another six runs in the second after Marley Bufkin singled just before Carraway hit a grand slam inside-the-park home run to go up 11-1.

The Lady Eagles put the game away in the third after RBIs from Natalie Cantin and Sophie Masterson.

Carraway went 2 for 3 with five RBIs in the win while Bufkin hit a triple and finished with three hits. Davis(1 RBI) and Cantin both had one hit and Kendall Smith hit a double. Masterson and Luke both hit one RBI.

Luke threw a no-hitter as she finished with five strikeouts. 

PCA(5-8) will host Franklin Academy at Key City Park on Tuesday.
