Photo Gallery: Missy Gators top Lady Vikes for first time since 2012

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — (Photo Gallery) For the first time since 2012, the Vicksburg High School Missy Gators softball team defeated crosstown rival Warren Central, earning a 7–4 victory at home Tuesday night.

“Everyone did what they were supposed to do—they listened, played their position, and they kept it going from start to finish,” Vicksburg head coach Briana Knox said of the historic win.

The victory moved the Missy Gators into third place in the district standings, while Warren Central dropped to the No. 2 seed.

Both teams will next play on Thursday. Warren Central will host Clinton and Vicksburg High School will host Terry for their Senior Night.
