Sanders leads JSU to a 53-0 win in his head coaching debut

Jackson State University put in a killer performance in head coach Deion Sanders’ debut with a big 53-0 win over Edward Waters on Sunday.

The Tigers quickly took a 10-o lead in the first quarter before picking up the pace in the second quarter, where they were up 31-0 by halftime.

By the second half of the ball game, the Tigers continued to pound Edward Waters and finished the day with a 53-0 win.

It wasn’t all high spirits, however. According to WLBT, someone broke into the locker room and stole Sander’s wallet, keys and cell phone.  Luckily they were returned, but Sanders saw it as a targeted and malicious attack.

With JSU under the new leadership of Sanders, many fans are wondering  if the Tigers will now be the team to beat in the SWAC.

JSU will be back in action on Saturday as they face Mississippi Valley State University at home at 2:30 p.m.
