34-year-old shot and killed on Grove Street

An early morning homicide occurred in Vicksburg on Wednesday morning.
Reports indicate that a black male was shot just before 2 a.m. in the 2000 block of Grove Street, and pronounced dead at 2:57 a.m. at an area hospital. The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Hakeem Burnett. One person is believed to be in custody.
