School District will not confirm or deny student was stabbed at VHS
UPDATE – 4:45 p.m. Vicksburg Attorney Tiffany Pendleton has contacted the Vicksburg Daily News stating the parents of one of the parties involved can confirm the event occurred.
VICKSBURG, Miss. – According to numerous reports, a High School Student was stabbed at Vicksburg High (VHS) on October 31, 2024.
Repeated efforts to verify the story with the Vicksburg Warren School District a student being stabbed have been unsuccessful.
District media contact Marcus James responded:
“We were aware of an incident at Vicksburg High School on Thursday, October 31. Due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we are unable to comment on specifics related to
incidents involving students.
VWSD follows all district policies and safety protocols and remains fully committed to providing a secure and supportive learning environment. The safety, and well-being, of our students, staff, and families are our highest priorities.”
Numerous people have reached out to the Vicksburg Daily News regarding the incident.
