‘Sip Fest kicks off with party at The Biedenharn Candy Museum
A week-long celebration of the first Coca-Cola bottling kicked off today at the Beidenharn Candy Company Museum.
Coca-Cola was first bottled in that building in 1894, 130 years ago, by the Biedenharn family. Today, Coca-Cola employs over 80,000 people and has since become one of the best-selling brands in the world, claiming the number one soft drink in the world in 2010.
At the ceremony today, a special marker has been unveiled commemorating the event. It will be placed near the Biedenharn Candy Company.
Today’s event was the first of many that will be held all week, including a Tasting at The Inn at Cedar Grove on Thursday night. A list of the planned events is on the poster below. The public is invited and encouraged to attend each one.
