South State Track Meet yields multiple blue ribbon finishes for PCA

CANTON, Miss. (VDN) — The Porter’s Chapel Academy (PCA) track & field teams brought home three blue ribbons at the South State meet on Wednesday, with the Lady Eagles finishing out the event with a total of 16 points.

The Lady Eagles’ Marley Bufkin took first place in the long jump, with a jump of 14’6.25″. Mia Abdo brought home the blue ribbon in the girls’ triple jump, jumping 30 feet, she also finished in second place in the high jump, with a 4’0″ finish. 

On the boys side of the South State field events, Schaffer Bell won the high jump event with a jump of 5’10”, and came in second place in the triple jump with a total distance of 37’3″. Jase Jung came in third place in the high jump, and Lakelan Pecanty finished third in the long jump.

The running events will be held this Saturday, April 26, at Canton Academy.
