St. Aloysius Softball announces 2025 schedule, opens season July 25

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The St. Aloysius High School softball team has released its full schedule for the 2025 season, which will begin with a six-game road stretch starting July 25 at Manchester Academy.

Head coach Mike Foley enters his third year leading the Lady Flashes, who finished last season with a 9-15 record. Foley and the team are aiming to improve behind a largely intact roster. The only departure is standout pitcher Kyleigh Cooper, who graduated in May.

The Lady Flashes recently kicked off summer action with a 3-0 shutout scrimmage win over Yazoo County and are scheduled to face the same opponent again today on the road in another scrimmage matchup.

This year’s team will feature two seniors—Madison Spencer and Ruthie Britton—who are expected to play key leadership roles on and off the field.

St. Al will play its first home game on Aug. 9 in a jamboree, followed by a home matchup against Copiah Academy on Aug. 11. District play begins Aug. 18 at home against Clinton Christian and continues with back-to-back district series throughout August and September.

The regular season concludes with games against ACCS on Sept. 22 and 23 before the Lady Flashes compete in the North/South District Tournament beginning Sept. 27. The postseason will culminate with the state tournament scheduled for Oct. 4.
