Teenager arrested for killing a 14-year-old in Jackson

A 17-year-old has been arrested for allegedly killing another teenager in Jackson.

The arrest was made on Thursday, just less than a week after the murder. Eugene Kelly, 14, has been identified as the deceased after being shot on Nimitz Street on Tuesday night.

The 17-year-old’s identity has not been released yet but he is now charged with murder.
