Bond set for woman accused of shooting her husband

On Thursday, January 04, 2024, Octavia Wheatley turned herself into the Vicksburg Police Department without incident. Wheatley was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence stemming from a domestic dispute in which she allegedly shot her husband in the arm in the 1400 block of Jackson Street.

Wheatley was arraigned by Municipal Court Judge, Angela Carpenter who set her bond at $350,000. She will be bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
