Tom Toulson named Assistant Coach at Hinds CC

RAYMOND, Miss. – Hinds Community College first year head Women’s soccer coach Lydia Kazery has announced the hiring of Tom Toulson as the program’s new assistant coach. 

Coach Kazery stated, “I’m very eager for Tom to be joining the Hinds Women’s Soccer program. It was evident through the hiring process that he has a history of determination and tenacity within the sport as a player and as a coach, which makes him a great fit for our program. I’m pleased to have him on board to mentor our student-athletes through their next chapter in life here in Raymond.”

Prior to Hinds, Toulson was a graduate assistant coach at NCAA Division II Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. During his career at DSU, he registered eight goals, five assists, and played in 31 matches at Delta State. 
Before DSU, Tom played at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS where he played in 18 matches and was a midfielder for the Crusaders. 

“I am excited to be a part of Hinds Athletics and to see the growth of the women’s soccer program moving forward,” said Toulson.

Toulson, who is a native of Barnsley, England, earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education and sports coaching at Delta State and recently completed his master’s degree in Exercise Science at Delta State. Tom currently resides in Flowood, MS and is coaching a club team at Mississippi Rush United. Additionally, he is the son of Jill and Dave Toulson and has one sister Amy.
