Two I-20 Shooting Suspects in Custody, One Still at Large

VICKSBURG, Miss – Two suspects involved in Tuesday’s daytime shooting on I-20 are in police custody, Keunte Bell and 21-year-old Altraveon White. The third suspect, 18-year-old Alvontae White is still on the run.
Keunte Bell was charged with armed robbery ($200k bail), drive-by shooting($150k), and two counts of aggravated assault w/weapon ($150k each) and has been bound over to the Grand Jury.
According to Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones, Bell currently had a monitor for his involvement in the City Pavilion shooting from June 28, 2024, but said the monitor had not been charged. A third-party company, Wrist Watch Monitoring LLC. out of Jackson Mississippi, is responsible for keeping the monitors charged and maintained.
Altraveon White was charged with two counts of aggravated assault w/weapon ($150k each) and has also been bound over to the Grand Jury.
Altraveon’s brother, 18-year-old Alvontae White has yet to be apprehended.

According to eyewitness accounts, occupants of a silver Honda Accord shot at another vehicle on I-20 yesterday around 12:50 p.m. The two vehicles were traveling westbound on I-20 just before the Halls Ferry exit when the shooting occurred.
Police searched an area near North Frontage and Confederate yesterday afternoon, but were unable to make any arrests at that time.

Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones reported the shooting suspects’ vehicle is also in police custody. Yesterday, five people were arrested as persons of interest, including a parent, and have since been released.
