Two teens charged, one as adult, in Gulf Coast shooting

Two teenagers are in custody on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for a Sunday afternoon shooting, officials said.

Authorities said 14-year-old Barack Isaiah Robinson of Ocean Springs has been charged as an adult after shooting a 15-year-old boy twice at a park in the St. Andrews community. The victim is in critical condition.

Sheriff John Ledbetter says the teens fled in a vehicle driven by a 17-yeara-old who is also charged in the incident. A 16-year-old passenger was questioned but released.

Robinson is charged with aggravated assault, while the driver is charged with accessory aftr the fact through youth court.

Robinson is being held without bond in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. Authorities say further charges are possible.
