Vicksburg High School had no issues on Friday night as they took down Warren Central 76-30.

“We got out there and handled business and passed the ball like we’re supposed to and played great defense,” senior Kierra James said.

The Missy Gators quickly went on a 14-0 run to start the game as Kierra James contributed the first few points. With help coming from Cynia Johnson and Clajessa Albert, VHS took the 26-5 first quarter lead.

The Lady Vikes got on the board mostly from the free throw line in the second quarter but James and Jada Erwin managed to keep the Missy Gators on top as they went up 44-18 at halftime.

Coming out of halftime, both Shay Hodge and A. Wilson knocked down 3-pointers for WC but James and Jordan Grace responded with 3s of their own while Johnson dominated inside the paint.
