VHS Freshmen and WCJHS boys’ basketball team won on Monday

Vicksburg, Miss.-Warren Central Junior High School and Vicksburg High School Freshmen boys’ basketball teams picked up wins on Monday night.

WCJHS:

The Vikings won 42-29 over Germantown last night. Henry Trisby and Cameron Zellous both scored eight points each in the win. Ja’Ven Lee added seven points and Braylen Selvy scored seven. Jarrad Williams put up four points and Doss Morgan added three points while Thompson contributed two points.

VHS Freshmen:

The Gators pulled off a 58-49 win over Northwest Rankin on Monday.

Jaylen Stewart dominated for VHS as he led the team with 20 points. Deonta Selvy Jr. scored 13 points while Jayden Stewart got double digits as well with 10 points. Corbin Walker added nine points on the board and Jordan Cruthirds put up five points. M. Cook added two points.
