VHS Freshmen are heading to the Little Six Championship
Freshmen boys’ basketball team at Vicksburg High will be heading to the Little Six Championship. The Gators earned their spot in the big game after defeating Clinton High School 43-38.
Corbin Walker led VHS with 13 points as they did a tremendous job of sharing the ball. Jaylen Stewart also scored in double digits as he put up 10 points while Jayden Stewart added eight. Deonta Selvy Jr. scored seven points and Jamari Johnson ended the night with four points.
The Gators are now 2-0 since entering the Little Six Tournament earlier this week. On Monday, VHS took down the No. 1 seed Brandon in a 65-53 win. Last night’s win gave VHS a Little Six Championship appearance for the first time since 2020.
The Gators will play Germantown in the Championship game on Saturday at Terry High School at noon.
