VHS improved to 3-0 after defeating Raymond

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Vicksburg High School’s (VHS) volleyball team improved to 3-0 on Tuesday as they took down Raymond in three sets (25-17, 25-11, 25-9).

Several of the Missy Gators helped add points on the board, including Jamia Grace (17 points), Jada Erwin (13 points), MaKynzie Dunmore 8 points and several digs. Jordan Grace, McKenley Williams, Teagan Stewart, Lili Kistler, Kennedy Mullins, Amari Johnson, and Jamiya Stewart assisted with the win.

The junior varsity team won in two sets (25-6, 25-12). Jermaria Wright had 16 points while Jamiya Stewart added 11 points. Zipporah Drake, Teagan Stewart, Kenley Henderson, Zaria Jones, Dallas West, and Alexia Smothers assisted with the win.

VHS will travel to face Pearl on Thursday.
