Vicksburg sweeps home track invitational; Gators win boys’ and girls’ titles

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — The Vicksburg High School track and field team dominated the Vicksburg High Invitational on Wednesday night, winning both the boys’ and girls’ team titles.

The Gators scored 229.5 points to win the boys’ division, while the Missy Gators finished with 187 points to claim the girls’ championship. The victories marked back-to-back invitational wins for Vicksburg High.

Warren Central also had some competitive finishes as the Lady Vikings finished third in the girls’ standings and the Vikings placing fourth in the boys’ division.

Several local athletes delivered standout performances throughout the meet, including multiple first-place finishes and strong showings in both running and field events.
