Vicksburg’s Derick Bell goes on the Price is Right
Vicksburg native Derick Bell will be on the nighttime version of the Price is Right on December 7, 2023.
Bell, a 2002 graduate of Warren Central High School, moved to California in 2007 after five years in the military. He served as a combat medic in the Marine Corp during that time.
Growing up on Mt. Alban Road, Bell played sports at Warren Central and was also in the Big Blue Band playing the saxophone and bassoon. Bell also was in honor bands and All-State Bands. His love of music has led him to many jobs in Los Angeles as a jazz musician. He currently works in the entertainment industry and as a musician.
Bell’s mother, Roberta Bell, was recently featured on the Vicksburg Daily News for taking in an inmate’s child and losing her job for it.
Bell was previously on a special version of The Price is Right for Veterans but he did not get called down to bid on the items. A producer for the show later asked Bell to be on a singles episode where they call you and then a potential partner down.
Bell said he can’t reveal too much information about that episode but has invited the community to watch the show on December 7, 2023.
