VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
A man suffered two gunshot wounds to the arm as Vicksburg police investigated reports of shots fired early Friday morning in Elizabeth Circle.
According to the Vicksburg Police Department, officers responded to the 100 block of Elizabeth Circle around midnight on May 30 after receiving reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers conducted a preliminary investigation and recovered multiple shell casings from the scene.
While officers were investigating, they received information that an adult male had arrived at a local emergency room suffering from two gunshot wounds to the arm.
Investigators are working to determine whether the shooting and the reports of shots fired on Elizabeth Circle are related.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
