Vicksburg High School softball player Trinity McGloster has committed to playing at Jackson State University. McGloster is in her senior year at VHS and her final softball season will begin in the Spring.

On Friday, McGloster made her official verbal commitment to the Lady Tigers’ softball program.

“I am extremely honored to announce my verbal commitment to THEE Jackson State University’s esteemed Division 1 softball program, combining academic and athletic pursuits for the next four years,” McGloster said on social media. “Firstly, I acknowledge God’s gracious guidance. I also express heartfelt thanks to my parents for their tireless support, encompassing extensive travel, accommodations, and rigorous training. Their unwavering faith and encouragement have been essential. Additionally, I appreciate the motivational support of my sisters, MeMe, and Paw Paw. Finally, I extend sincere gratitude to Coach Chase Jones, Coach Briana Knox, Coach Hugh Guest for always believing in me and Coach Montgomery for believing in my abilities and offering this exceptional opportunity. Go Tigers.”

Last season, Trinity helped VHS to the first round of the playoffs under Head Coach Briana Knox where she had a .375 batting average, 21 hits, 14 RBIs, and 2 home runs. Over the last few years, she led the Missy Gators to three consecutive district championships.

McGloster is also a star soccer player at VHS where she also paved the way for VHS to have their best season in 14 years in 2023. She now plays under Head Coach Maurice Gilliam.

VDN will catch up with Trinity at her initial signing day ceremony.
