VPD announce arrest of Sunday shooting suspect

From the Vicksburg Police Department:

Derrick Williams, Jr., 34, of Vicksburg, was taken into custody on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, by Vicksburg Police investigators. He was wanted in connection to the wounding of his girlfriend on Sunday, October 8, 2023, near the intersection of Grove and China Streets.

Williams appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, on a charge of Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence. His bond was set at $70,000 and he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
