VWSD cancels school for Monday

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) —Due to unsafe road conditions and the potential for ice, the Vicksburg Warren School District will cancel school and close all district offices on Monday, January 26, 2026.

District officials are closely monitoring winter weather conditions and consulting with Warren County emergency officials to guide all decisions. A determination regarding school operations for Tuesday, January 27, 2026 will be announced by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26.

The safety of students, staff, and families remains the district’s top priority. Families and employees are encouraged to take necessary safety precautions, limit travel when possible, and monitor official district communication channels for updates.
