Warren Central’s Chaka Walker commits to Hinds CC
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School linebacker Chaka Walker has announced his commitment to continue his football career at Hinds Community College.
Walker, a standout defender for the Vikings, shared the news Monday on social media.
“After a long time deciding I will be verbally committed to Hinds CC,” Walker wrote. “Let’s get to work.”
Walker enters his senior season as one of Warren Central’s top returners. He recorded 65 tackles last year while helping the Vikings capture a district title, playing a prominent role on the defensive side.
The Vicksburg Daily News plans to follow up with Walker on his official signing day. Fans can catch him in action Friday when Warren Central hosts Brandon in a preseason scrimmage at 7 p.m. The Vikings open their regular season Aug. 29 on the road against Clinton High School.
