WC freshmen team defeated Germantown 32-12

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren Central High School freshmen football team took down Germantown 32-12 on Tuesday night, improving to 3-0 on the season under Head Coach Matt Williams.
“We had a big win over a very good Germantown team,” WC ninth grade head coach Matt Williams said. “We have been challenging our guys to set the tone of the game early and leave their mark on it and they have done that. Defense played great all night. They tackled very well and stuck to our game plan, which took Germantown out of theirs and made them search for alternate answers. It’s always good to see the boys compete and they are learning to do it at a very high level.
“Offensively we have the ability to make big plays and we did that all night. We took advantage of what Germantown was giving us on defense and were able to connect. Got a huge game with Clinton next week here to take control of our side of the Little 6.”
