WC volleyball defeated Callaway; VHS took a loss to Neshoba Central
Warren Central High volleyball team defeated Callaway in three sets to remain undefeated in district play(2-0).
Melissa Herrle(23) and KK Kelly(11) both came away with multiple assists. Herrle also had nine kills while Kelly had four and Arrionna Jenkins finished with six. Hannah Island, Ka’Ryn Henderson, and Caitlyn Lewis all had three kills each in the win.
The Lady Vikes improved to 11-8 under Head Coach Matthew Gullett. They will travel to face Vicksburg High on Thursday.
VHS:
The JV lost in two sets (11-25, 17-25) to Neshoba Central. Kenley Henderson had 4 digs, Zaria Jones with one dig, Jamiya Stewart with 3 digs, and Teagan Stewart with 2 digs.
Varsity lost in 3 sets (7-25, 15-25, 15-25) as well. Kennedy Mullins and MaKynzie Dunmore both had three dogs each while Jada Erwin and Jamia Grace both had two. Lili Kistler finished with eight digs.
VHS will host WC on Thursday.
