46th Annual Memorial Day Parade and Wreath-laying announced

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The 46th annual Memorial Day Parade and Wreath-laying ceremony in Vicksburg will take place Monday, May 26, 2025, honoring the sacrifices of U.S. military veterans under the theme “Lest We Forget.”

The event schedule is as follows:

• 9:00 a.m. – Parade lineup on Belmont Street
• 10:00 a.m. – Parade of Veterans and community participants, traveling north along Washington Street to Jackson Street
• 11:00 a.m. – Memorial Service at the Ardis T. Williams City Auditorium
• 12:30 p.m. – Wreath-laying ceremony at the Vicksburg National Cemetery (motorcade departs from the City Auditorium via Fort Hill Drive)

This year’s guest speaker will be Col. Christian Patterson.

The 46th annual Memorial Day Parade and Wreath-laying ceremony is sponsored by the Vicksburg-Warren County Memorial Day Committee, American Legion Tyner-Ford Post #213, and American Legion Allein Post #3.
