Missy Gators picked up a road win; PCA and St. Al took losses

Vicksburg, Miss.-Vicksburg High School girls’ basketball team advanced to 4-1 on the year after defeating Forest Hill 71-65 on Thursday.

Cynia Johnson had another career-high in points as she finished with 32 in the win along with grabbing 15 rebounds. Zion Harvey was also instrumental in the win as she dropped 25 points, 10 assists, and four steals. Ny’Keria Watson scored five points while Kenley Henderson nailed a 3-pointer. Carjessa Albert and Raylyn Parson both scored two points each.

The Missy Gators will host Florence on Tuesday. 

Porter’s Chapel Academy:

The Lady Eagles took a 41-36 loss to Briarfield Academy. Sophie Masterson led with 19 points as she hit five 3-pointers. Marley Bufkin scored 11 points while Mia Abdo scored two points and Kendall Smith hit a free throw. 

PCA will travel to Humphrey’s Academy on Monday.

St. Aloysius:

The Lady Flashes took a 52-20 loss to Riverfield Academy. Taryn Lusby scored 12 points while Megan Theriot and Farrell Roberson both scored four points each. 

St. Al will travel to play Benton Academy on Friday.
