Rosemary Caldwell has been named the new assistant band director at Warren Central High School, school officials announced this week.

Caldwell, a native of Jackson, recently graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in music education. She brings experience in both instrumental music education and color guard instruction as she joins the Vikings’ Big Blue Band program.

School leaders welcomed Caldwell to the band staff and said she is expected to help continue the tradition of excellence that has long been associated with the program.

Caldwell said she is eager to begin working with students and contribute to the band’s continued success.

“I am so excited to join the Big Blue Band family and become a part of the legacy of such a historic program,” Caldwell said. “I look forward to working with the students and contributing to the continued growth of the band and color guard program.”

The addition of Caldwell strengthens the Warren Central band staff as preparations continue for the upcoming school year.
