Dwight Palmer dominates at the JPS Invitational

VICKSBURG, Miss.—Warren Central High School track athlete Dwight Palmer earned two first-place medals in last week’s meet. Palmer came in first place in the 200m (22.19) and 400m (50.10).

In the Jackson Public School Invitational, Palmer finished with a time of 22.19 in the 200m, and 50.10 in the 400m. He gained first-place honors after finishing second in the 100m(11.05).

“I had a bad start but I made up for it in the last two,” Palmer said. “I’m dedicated to getting better so I’m taking it day by day.”

Palmer is a junior who is coached by Corey Wilson Sr., and WC will compete in the Canton City Speed Invitational on Monday.
