VHS takes a loss to Ridgeland

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Ridgeland High School handed Vicksburg its first loss of the season Friday night, defeating the Gators 48-22. The loss drops VHS to 2-1 on the year.

Scoring summary:

• First quarter: Johnathan Henningburg 8-yard run (0:57).
• Second quarter: Thomas McKnight touchdown for VHS; Ashton Gorden 36-yard run for Ridgeland (12-6); DK Wallace 14-yard run as time expired, Gorden 2-point conversion (20-7).
