Vicksburg High defeated Holmes County Central on Senior Night

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg High School volleyball team celebrated Senior Night with a dominant performance, defeating Holmes County Central in straight sets Tuesday. The varsity squad swept the Lady Jaguars 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-18) to cap off the evening.

Jamiya Stewart led the way for Vicksburg with 24 points and 10 digs, while Teagan Stewart added 15 points, four kills and three digs. Dallas West chipped in 11 points, one kill and three digs. Jada Erwin and Jordan Grace each scored seven points, with Erwin adding four digs and Grace contributing two kills and a dig. JaKeyla Curry posted four points, one ace and four digs. Other contributors included Amari Johnson (four points, two digs), Saudia Stewart (three points, one kill), Kenley Henderson (one point) and Jermeria Wright (one point, two digs).

In the junior varsity match, Vicksburg also came out on top, winning two out of three sets. Reagan Hill tallied one ace and two points; Peyton White had two aces, six points and one dig; Harmony Harris posted two aces, nine points and one dig; Zipporah Drake recorded one ace, seven points and one dig; Alaina Williams led with four aces and six points; and Zaria Jones added two points and one dig.

The Missy Gators(12-3) will host Provine on Tuesday.
