Tradarius Smith commits to UNC Charlotte
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Tradarius Smith, a Port Gibson native, has officially committed to play football at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Smith announced his decision over the weekend on his social media pages.
Smith spent the past two seasons at Pearl River Community College, where he emerged as a standout in the secondary. The defensive back finished the 2025 campaign with 16 tackles and one interception as he continued to build his reputation as a reliable playmaker.
Smith chose Charlotte over a lengthy list of offers, including Alabama State, Central Arkansas, Georgia State, Grambling State, Kennesaw State, Old Dominion, South Alabama, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Temple, Troy, UT-Martin and Western Michigan.
Smith is a 2024 graduate of Port Gibson High School, where he played under Head Coach Harry Brown before moving on to the junior college ranks.
