WC’s Artman and Hall selected to play in the Bernard Blackwell Classic All-Star Game
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Jonah Artman and Michael Hall of Warren Central High School have been selected to play in the Bernard Blackwell Classic Mississippi All-Star Game, earning statewide recognition following standout senior seasons for the Vikings.
Artman and Hall were recently added to the North roster for the annual all-star event just weeks after helping Warren Central capture the Class 6A state championship. The Vikings defeated Hattiesburg High School at Davis Wade Stadium to secure the program’s first state title in more than three decades under head coach Josh Morgan.
Both players played key roles in the championship victory. Artman was perfect in the title game, converting all eight of his extra point attempts and providing a steady scoring presence throughout the contest. Hall delivered one of the game’s most memorable moments with a 60-yard touchdown reception that helped swing momentum in Warren Central’s favor.
Hall enjoyed a breakout season at wide receiver and was named the Region 2-6A Most Outstanding Wide Receiver. He led the team with 41 receptions for 504 yards and six touchdowns, consistently emerging as a reliable target in critical situations.
Artman anchored the special teams unit and collected numerous postseason honors. He was named the Region 2-6A Special Teams Player of the Year and earned first-team Class 6A all-state recognition. Artman kicked five field goals during the season, set the Warren County career record with 32 field goals and finished the year converting 63 of 65 point-after attempts.
The Bernard Blackwell Classic Mississippi All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday with an 11:30 a.m. kickoff at Milner Stadium on the campus of Gulfport High School.
