Three people hit by car on Drummond at Prospect

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Three people were hit and sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Drummond at Prospect.

At about 2:45 p.m. this afternoon, three people were hit by a vehicle on Drummond in what is believed to have been an intentional assault. An officer at the scene indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle at some point after striking the individuals.

One unconfirmed report said an earlier altercation at an area business led to the incident.

This incident is under investigation by the Vicksburg Police Department, and more details will be added as they become available.
