A fundraiser softball tournament to support the Hollins family following the loss of their home in a fire will be held June 13 at the Softball Complex at 100 Army Navy Drive in Vicksburg.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and is being organized to help the family as they rebuild and recover from the devastating loss. Organizers said all proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the Hollins family.

Teams can enter the tournament for $200, with a maximum of 12 players per team. Individuals who would like to participate can join for $5 and will be placed on a team.

In addition to monetary donations, organizers are also collecting clothing and shoe donations for members of the Hollins family. Needed sizes include:

  • Buddy: XXL shirt, size 38-40 pants, size 12 shoes
  • Alanah: XL shirt, XL pants or size 14, size 10 shoes
  • Brielle (girl): Size 12/14 clothes, size 2-2.5 shoes
  • DJ (boy): Size 6/7 clothes, size 12 shoes
  • Daxten (boy): Size 4T clothes, size 8 shoes

Those interested in registering a team, playing as an individual or becoming a sponsor can contact organizers at 601-738-1242.

Organizers are encouraging the community to come together in support of the Hollins family, emphasizing that every dollar raised will help the family heal and rebuild after their loss.
