VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
The Vicksburg City Pool is now open for the 2026 summer swim season at its location at 900 Lee St.
The pool opened June 1 and will operate on a weekly schedule throughout the summer.
Public recreation swim sessions are available on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Admission is $2 per person.
Wednesdays and Thursdays are reserved for daycares and special groups by reservation only. Those sessions are also held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m., with admission set at $2 per person.
The pool is closed to the public on Tuesdays for staff training and is closed on Sundays.
Lap swimming is available Monday through Friday from noon to 1 p.m. During weeks when swim lessons are not being conducted, lap swimming hours will be extended from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Vicksburg City Pool will be closed to the public on several dates for swim meets, including June 5-7 for the Stamm Invitational Swim Meet and July 11 for the 8-and-under Swim Meet.
City officials said additional closure dates, if needed, will be announced on the pool’s official information site.
Visitors are reminded that the Vicksburg City Pool is a swimsuit-only facility. Officials emphasized that anyone not wearing a swimsuit will not be permitted to swim.
